Tugaloo State Park, #7

We visited Tugaloo State Park on the way home from my mother's home in North Carolina. This park is just inside the Georgia/South Carolina border as is situated on Hartwell Lake. There are several campsites available here as well as four miles of hiking trails, canoe and kayak rentals, and a fishing spot.

We checked out one of the playgrounds at the park that was near a sandy beach area. The boys enjoyed the break from our long car ride home. They played in the sand and waded in the water.

I think this particular park is best for water lovers. The lake boasts clear, calm waters for canoeing or kayaking, fishing, wading, or swimming.
