Mother's Day Toccoa River Weekend

Over Mother's Day weekend, we stayed in a cabin by the Toccoa River in Blue Ridge with my mom, "Nana." It was a quiet but very much enjoyed weekend. We didn't do much, just hung out at the cabin for a couple days. No one else could make it, but we made the most of our time with Nana and really had fun.
The bottom floor of the cabin was a game room and there was a hot tub outside. The hot tub was, by far, the highlight of the boys' trip I think. We spent a lot of time just soaking and being silly.

It rained a good bit the second day of our stay, so I took some time to show Julian and Jack how to play pool. We weren't so great, but it was fun.

There is a small center at the entrance to the mountain neighborhood the cabin is in, that has mini golf and gem mining. We took a little time to mine for gems, which the boys enjoyed very much. I admit, I LOVE rocks so this was fun for me too.

The rest of our full day was spent lounging on the front porch enjoying the river front view. The boys played by the water and had a water gun fight. Fun and simple. I of course took this scenery as a good opportunity to get some photos of the three of them, whether they wanted to or not.

We found some shale, or slate? And tried making our own arrowheads. Not so successful but it was fun.

We are hoping to plan another trip at the end of the summer that Daddy and Uncle Joey can enjoy as well. The cabin was awesome, and huge. Far too big for just Nana and us.
